Sea Shells on the Sea Shore!

Today we went to the beach at Bay View, just outside Napier town. The sea had been quite rough during the past few days and loads of shells had been 'dumped' on the shore.

The shells are 'ostrich feet'.... Strange name for a shell! And there were loads of them along the shore line.

I tied a piece of drift wood to some fishing line and then searched for shells that had a small hole in them and threaded them through the line. To make an 'attractive' hangy thingy!! Which is now outside incase it smells!!

Some posing pictures of the kids...........

Views of Napier in the background and more shells on the beach!

Loads of Pine cones on the trees too!
