New Zealand Horse of the Year Show

The New Zealand Horse of the Year Show (HOY) was held in Hastings, and was on for 4 days. It opened on the 5th and finished on 9th. We went on Saturday afternoon. Dan met up with some friends, whilst Lou had to 'hang around' with us! We watched various riders compete in the Dressage and Show jumping arenas. It took me a while to sort out when to take action shots as to start off all my pics were of this type.!!



After a while I managed to get the hang of it and manage to snap a few good pics.



The highlight for the public was Mark Todd competing in the Eventing Challenge. He is hoping to be selected for the NZ Team for the Olympics. These pictures are of Mark Todd in action on his horse 'Gandalf'.
