Logging!

Over the past few weeks there has been alot of activity on the land at the side of us and behind us... Several lorry loads of logs have gone...

Just chop it in half and stick it back together on it's new site!

Dan's new wheels....

After looking at several cars for Dan to learn to drive in, we've finally bought one. It's several years old and didn't cost too much, we wanted something that he could learn in and make a few mistakes before moving on to a newer more expensive car. Even though you don't have to have insurance here we have insured for 3rd Party, F&T. So at least if something does go wrong he is covered, however due to his age and driving experience the excess is $1000!!!!

Now for the bits'n'peices that don't mean much to me... It's a Mazda Astina, part of the 323 family, 1500cc 16V fuel injected, Twin Cam engine! It even has mags fitted (means alot here!!)




Learning to use a clutch!




He's booked in with a Driving Instructor for lessons now, so he learns the Kiwi way of driving...!

Spring!

1st September and it's offically Spring in the Southern Hemisphere! Here's a few Spingy! pictures....

After I'd taken these, Chester charged into the water the mother flapped about and then fled down the creek with Chester galloping throught the water! Eventually he gave up and came back to me, and the mother returned to her brood!
