Warming up!

We're moving towards summer now and today the temp in the shade was 30!!



Louise had a friend round and they spent ages in the pool!

For Sale: Push Bike.....

Dan passed his 'restricted' driving test end of Oct. He did have plans to continuing biking to school to save money on fuel. That didn't even last a day as the day after passing he was driving to school. It is weird that he goes off to school in the morning in his school uniform and then gets into his car!!

An afternoon's lesson in car maintenance....

Birdies....

Whilst doing alot of pruning and hacking back foliage.. (Stuff grows really fast here.. I swear sometimes I can actually watch the grass grow.. its that fast!!!) We came across these chaps... Luckily we were only half way through sawing their branch so we've left them.. Looks like they could be leaving the nest in a short while!



Monday 26th October....

Snow on the Ranges...

Recently we had a large dumping of snow on the ranges around us....


We took the dogs out for a run at the beach... The kids had fun too!




We also spotted some cormorants sun bathing.... But we disturbed them and they flew off!

River...

We've had a lot of rain recently.... Took the dogs for a walk down by the river only we couldn't because the water was bank to bank...



A few days later .....

Fire Wood...

We ordered a load of fire wood for next years winter. It comes delievered by a mini dumper truck, the back tips up and out it comes. We ordered 3 cord! Never heard of that measurement before! It's up to us then to stack it in the wood shed... This order was for split pine(Softwood) as we still had some Gum (Hardwood) left over..

Logging!

Over the past few weeks there has been alot of activity on the land at the side of us and behind us... Several lorry loads of logs have gone...

Going up empty....!
